What is Teej

Teej is a festival celebrated by nepali women ,for the long life of her husband and long relationship between them until the death this life and all the lives to com. Teej is observed for martial happiness,well-being of spouse and children and purification of own body and soul . Teej is the most famous festival among Nepali women.

Teej is traditionally dedicated to the Goddess Parvati, remembering her union with Lord shiva.  It is a three-day long celebration that combines splendid feasts as well as rigid fasting .

Teej also welcomes and celebrated arrival of monsoon after a season of summer heat. In 2073, Teej is on sept 4, 2016 . That is Bhadra 19,2073 .

Hindu women across the country celebrate this festival with much fun , the food they eat in the form ''dar'' varies from place to place. These days it is becoming expensive to celebrate Teej as the people seem to be competing in inviting relatives and friends for the dar eating and spending more for other ritual practices.

Don't go outside

Baltimore city is advising residents that some areas will undergo mosquito spraying Sunday night.

Residents between Coolidge Avenue and Benson Avenue and Sharonleigh Road to S. Grantley street are being advised to remain indoors tonight after 10 p.m.

The service is the result of growing concerns over the potential for mosquito -borne diseases, including west Nile virus and Zika virus, according to the Baltimore city Health Department and Maryland Department Agriculture .  During the spraying ,and up to two hours after, residents, including small children and pets , are being told to remain indoors.  Residents should close windows and HVAC vents and bring pet dishes, feeders,and children's toys indoors, the city advises.

Scientists just found a 'ghost galaxy'

Scientists have found a ''ghost'' galaxy roughly the same mass as our own, but entirely made up dark matter.  Dragonfly 44 is most entirely made up of dark matter, the mysterious -and for now mostly theoretical stuff that makes up 27 per cent of the universe but has never actually been seen. 

Though the galaxy is relatively nearby, at least in the scale of the universe , it is so dark that scientists completely missed it for decades.  But it was finally spotted last year. It sits in the coma galaxy cluster, about 330 million light from us. when scientist looked at it further, they found that it was not just  normal set of stars-but instead a ghost ,made up of dark matter.

Pokemon Go kills pedestrian

A female pedestrian has been killed and another badly injured in a car accident in western Japan,  involving a man playing the popular Pokemon Go game while driving. 

The driver said he had been distracted by the game after his arrest for negligent driving following the accident on Wednesday evening , a spokesman for the Tokushima prefectural police said. 

''The driver is still in custody . No decision has been made yet on whether to proceed with a prosecution.  The popularity of augmented -reality Pokemon Go around the world has generated crowds of people in parks and other public places as user search for monsters , but has also been blamed for injuries and robberies of distracted users.

Powerful earthquake in Italy

A powerful earthquake toppled homes, churches and shops in a wide swath of medieval towns in central Italy Wednesday, killing at least 150 people and injuring hundreds of others, according to Italy's civil protection agency. 

The 6.2 magnitude quake, which sent residents fleeing their homes and running into the streets,  is Italy's deadliest since 2009 quake in the same area.  A family of four were also trapped under the rubble and showing no signs of life.

U.S Postal service Honors Festival of Diwali with Forever stamp

The U.S postal service will commemorate the joyous Hindu festival of Diwali with a forever stamp. The Wednesday, Oct 5, first day of celebration will take at the consulate General of India , New York

The stamp design is a photograph featuring a traditional diya oil lamp beautifully lit, sitting on a sparkling gold background.  Diya lamps are usually made from clay with cotton wicks, dripped in a clarified butter knows as ''ghee'' or in vegetable oils. 

The postal service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and service to fund its operations .

Nepalese students struggle in America

The inflow of Nepalese students into the U.S.A and many other countries has particularly been increasing  very rapidly due to the political instability; as a result , there are very few young manpower living in Nepal. Because of lack of career opportunities and good education; therefore, there is no possibility of strong future in Nepal.

According to Embassy of the United States Kathmandu , Nepal : Nepal is among the top 25 countries sending students. Nepal is in number 23 and it's rate is growing every year.  There are around nine to ten thousands of Nepalese students studying in the U.S.A .

Struggles

Nepalese student's Struggle to study in the U.S.A begins with the college application and student visa process. The Challenging process calls for arranging academic transcripts and many other documents ; in addition, students need to have good SAT, TOFEL, and GRE scores. After going through interview process and being awarded with U.S visa many students still have the tension of big loan.

Once they arrive in America, their true struggles begins, they have to work very hard to pay college fee and their own livelihood. Also, they have pressure to pay back bank loan or pay huge amount of money spend in US visa process.

Most of the Nepalese students are found to be working at restaurants , gas station , subways, 7 eleven ,etc, where they are paid low; in fact, they also have to work nights and days shift, and still neither  they get good pay or any good respect.

Although America is land of opportunity and everyone want to have American dream, yet that dream is very hard to fulfIll and takes very long struggle to achieve.

Nepal is a landlocked country in southern Asia. Nepal is the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. It occupies an area of 56,827 square miles.  It is located between china and india.

Neymar scores winning penalty kick, Brazil beats Germany to win olympic gold

Brazil has won an olympic gold medal in soccer.  Brazil's Neymar and his teammates celebrate after the final match of the men's soccer olympic soccer tournament between Brazil and Germany at the Maracana stadium in Rio de janeiro ,Brazil .  Brazil won the gold on a penalty shootout .

Brazil won their first Olympic Football Tournament gold medal after an inspired performance by captain Neymar Jr.

Brazil beat Germany 5-4 in penalty kicks in Saturday's gold medal game at the Maracana, with Neymar scoring the winning kicks as the hosts were perfect from the spot after playing to 1-1 after 120 minutes.

Johnny Deep And Amber Heard settle divorce

Johnny Deep and Amber Heard have settled to have their divorce .They saying neither them intended to cause the other any physical or emotional harm. The pair acknowledge their relationship had been volatile .

The couple who were married for 18 months, also came to a finical settlement as part of their divorce. It said Heard would be donating proceeds from the divorce settlement to an undisclosed charity. Neither of the actors will comments further on the case .

Qatar Airways planes makes emergency landing in Istanbul

Aug 18,2016-   A Qatar Airways passengers jet made an emergency landing at Istanbul's airpot shortly after takeoff Thursday following a fire in on of its engines ,Turkey's state -run Anadolu agency reported.

Qatar Airways is one of the mideast's three biggest carriers. It was not immediately clear how many passengers and crew were on the board the Istanbul to Doha flight .

Zika virus is being spread by mosquitoes.  Zika virus is spread mostly by the bite of infected. The mosquitoes are aggressive daytime biters. They can also bite at night.

Image of injured Syria boy draws rage

Syrian activists have released striking pictures of a young boy rescued from a destroyed building after an air strike in the divided second city of Aleppo.

Video and photo of the boy sitting dazed and bloodied in an ambulance were shared widely on social media, with many expressing shock and outrage.

It was not immediately clear what happened to the rest of his family. Fighting between Syrian government forces,backed by Russian air strikes, and rebels has escalated in Aleppo in recent weeks, reportedly leaving hundred of peoples dead.

A dusty and bloody five year old Syrian boy captured the attention of people around the world this week.

Nepali women awarded Grinnel Prize

Luna Ranjit , the cofounder and executive director of Adhikaar, an organization which is working for social justice movement for nepali -speaking community has won the $100,000 Grinnell college Innovator for social justice prize. Ranjit will receive half of the total cash prize while the other half will go to her organization.   

Ranjit founded Adhikaar in 2005 to promote  human rights and effective social justice work in Nepali -speaking communities in New York city and the united sates . Adhikaar works address the needs of the growing Nepali immigrant communities through community based . 

Grinnel Prize  is  presented  by Grinnell college recognizing achievements in social justice . The prize is scheduled to be awarded in October.

Usain Bolt

Usain saint leo Bolt  is a Jamaican sprinter .  He was born on 21 August 1986.  Regarded as the fastest human being ever timed . He was the first man to hold both the 100 meters and 200 meters
 world record since fully automatic time became mandatory. He also hold the worlds record in the olympic champions .
